Dear Visitor,

Welcome to my Suede Look pages. These pages have been around since august 1996, although in an other form. Originally, they were part of the Suede Scrapbook. But since the layout of both sites never has been the same, these pages have always been a bit stand alone from the Scrapbook. That's why we decided in November '97 to split up, doing everything apart. The Scrapbook has now been included in the SuedeNation.

I however, will only specialize in pictures of Suede, with sometimes a Quicktime movie. (homemade!) No lyrics, news or other things here! There are lots of pages around the net who can do this even better.

Let me tell you something about myself: I am a 25 year old, male with Suede dominating a big part of my life since 1993...

Here's the story how I became involved in this 'Suede mania':

Way back, somewhere in '93, I saw this live performance of four guys, with the singer shake-butting all over, and thought "that singer, what a nerd...' but: I realised, this was really GOOD music! For the first time that I can remember, I heard a song and immediately fell in love with it... Threw a videotape in the VCR so that I could tape the (unfortunately) last song... Played that last song, the Drowners, the whole day and thought: This is it! Played the first Suede album probably more than 200 times and unlike most of my other albums I'm still not bored with it...

At that moment, almost nobody knew Suede in the Netherlands. But surprisingly I met an old friend that weekend in the local disco, and he said: 'Listen! I have discovered this great new band!' I said: 'Oh really? Well, I've also discovered a probably much better new band!'... Silence for five seconds, and then we both said: "It's SUEDE!"

From that day on, everything went probably like most of us Suede fans; collecting everything you can get, going to concerts if they're in the neighboorhood and so on...

Oh; by the way; my taste has changed nowadays; I just love Brett's act on stage, espescially his Indian dance when they're performing He's Dead...

Some things you might like to know: I can digitize video's (try to digitize only special things) but: it's always much nicer to put some more photographs on the net. If you can't digitize the photographs yourself, I can do it for you. Just send them in! (please e-mail first).

Another thing: I try to keep only original images on this site. This means, if you see the images on other sites, they were probably copied from this site. I always try to give someone credits if I got a picture from someone. Conclusion: I've made every image where you won't see a credit.

Message to all the other people who have a Suede site: give credit where credit's due. Be so kind to ask permission; it ain't hard writing an e-mail is it? Or at least, give a link to this site.

I hope you'll enjoy viewing the Look pages as much as I enjoy compiling it.
